Cleaning Your Counter tops

November 20th, 2011

Ever wonder how to get those nasty stains off your counter top?  Well if your counter tops are veneer then you are in luck!  Using simple household products like hydrogen peroxide and baking soda can get those ugly stains right out!

First make a paste of baking soda and the peroxide in a bowl.  Next spread a generous layer of paste on the stains.  Let dry. With a wet sponge scrub the spot in a circular motion.  Wipe clean.  Repeat if necessary.

DO NOT use this method on granite or marble, it will scratch and etch the counter tops.  For stone counter tops it is best to use a cleaner that is ph balanced for natural stone.  Products such as Sprayway and Granite Gold are best.
